"Wolf Eyes"
Limited Edition Giclee
- Pastel Painting of a Timber Wolf -

The Timber Wolf or Gray Wolf, also known as the Grey Wolf or simply Wolf, is the largest wild member of the Canidae family. It is an ice age survivor originating around 300,000 years ago. Though once abundant, the Timber Wolf inhabits a very small portion of its former range because of widespread destruction of its habitat, human encroachment of its habitat, and the resulting human-wolf encounters. Humans historically have had a complex and varied viewpoint of wolves. In many parts of the world, wolves were respected and revered, while in others they were feared and held in distaste. Many Native Americans feel that the Wolf lives within their Heart and Soul and that the Wolf is a Kindred Spirit.

I painted this Wolf to capture the intensity of the Eyes.
